The git history for my main #nix flake is getting very littered as I slowly discover quirks of nix-on-droid
It turns out that for some reason Weston doesn't allow you to set scaling for the RDP backend, bummer, however I managed to get scaling working through the GDK_DPI_SCALE environment variable, so that's nice, next step: getting my config loaded in
So doing it through Greenfield (the html5 Wayland compositor) turned out to be a no-go. I'm not a big fan of VNC methods, I've never gotten them to be acceptably responsive, but I did remember that Weston (the reference #wayland compositor) has an RDP backend
Minimal fuckery later and I now have pgtk #emacs running natively on my tablet, with actually quite decent responsiveness
Now time to figure out how to configure Weston for scaling, how to load my fonts in there, and see what fuckery comes up when loading my emacs configuration in

Live blogging my attempt to get GUI #emacs running on an unrooted android tablet without x11 or vnc by using an html5 wayland compositor. The general gameplan is as follows:
- Get greenfield building on nix
- Verify that pgtk emacs actually works in greenfeild
- Futz around with nix-on-droid until it works on the tablet
