I watched the #eurovision at my parents', and now I'm home, so I'll make a few comments to belatedly participate.
I liked multiple acts and for the first time ever, I voted for no less than 6 countries (had to edit, 6 is already VERY MANY): Albania Bulgaria France Germany Italy Netherlands
Of these 6, the Danish televote awarded points to 2: The Netherlands and Germany. I guess that's pretty okay. I really liked those two, but I also really liked the rest.
I felt strongly that Sweden (sorry Swedish cousins) and Cyprus shouldn't win, because both were incredibly generic, boring pop songs. I was pretty shocked that both were sticking to the top so stubbornly (despite knowing that #cyp was a bookie fave). I was really hoping for Austria to win. That's a song I could have voted for, had I not liked 6 others better. It's a pretty charming and catchy song. But politics aside, I'm fine with Israel winning. It's a good song.

Also, I love how quickly the scores change once the televote is counted. I, simultaneously, revel in schadenfreude about the viewers "defeating" the jury and curse the existence of said jury (at least the sheer impact of comparatively very few people. IMO their votes should count for less). Not to mention their taste level, which is low. Unlike mine, which is high.

But on the other hand, it excellently builds tension to first get the points from the jury and then ALL the points from the viewers (like a big fuck you and all of your opinions). But on the THIRD hand, I hate that the jury gets the dramatic, slow building point award...ery. (My English is so good tonight.) #eurovision

@skumring I think a compromise would be to make the jury vote the speedy part and the audience votes the slow part... but then we'll miss the infamous 'douze points'.

@polychrome Yeah. I can't come up with a good alternative. It would feel like a hostile takeover if the jury votes came last and completely overruled the televote. But at the same time, I feel like the televote should come first and be announced by each country's representative. #eurovision
